(CZ) Dlouho jsem přemýšlel, jak tentokrát začít, ale nakonec mi to nedá … :)

Absolutně úspěšný víkend pro celý náš tým von Dretowitz! Náš vrh „B“ slavil úspěchy na výstavách a já se vydal na velmi vydařený coursing s „B“ týmem. „A“ tým odpočívá před mistrovstvím Evropy …

Na coursing do Koles, uspořádaný pod hlavičkou klubu Faraónských psů, ale celý organizačně zabezpečený klubem NorthWind, jsem se vydal neočekávaně. Původně jsem měl být na jiné akci, ale ta byla zrušena a tak jsem se na poslední chvíli rozhodl, že uvolněný čas strávím na těchto závodech. Zde posílám první díky organizátorům za to, že ochotně přijali přihlášku mých psů i po termínu!

Doufám, že se závody v této atraktivní lokalitě zopakují i příští rok. Coursing se pořádal v prostředí dostihového a cross závodiště pro koně. Výhodou rozhodně bylo zázemí, které nabídlo všem účastníkům pohodlí běžně nevídané.

Osobně jsem se bál, což se bohužel potvrdilo, že na takovém místě to nebude závod divácky příliš atraktivní, ale na druhou stranu bylo možné využít již zde připravené přirozené překážky a postavit náročnou trať. V prvním kole tak mohli diváci sledovat vlastně jen start a cíl a ve druhém kole pak zhruba první polovinu a doběh do cíle. Druhé kolo bylo tedy přitažlivější. Obě trati tak byly náročné hlavně na orientaci, fixaci na návnadu a vyžadovaly jistou dávku inteligence, ale byla zde samozřejmě i pasáž zaměřena na rychlost. Mám také neoficiální informaci, že na příštím ročníku by, za přispění majitelů areálu, trať mohla být koncipována zcela jinak a to mnohem divácky atraktivněji. Rád se nechám překvapit ;)

Organizačně byl závod zvládnut na vysoké úrovni, i když i zde se vyskytly drobné administrativní chybičky, které však ve finále žádným závažným způsobem neovlivnily hladký průběh závodu. Pro mne osobně z toho plyne poučení, že je nutné včas a v klidu komunikovat, když se vyskytne nějaká nejasnost. Drobné zdržení nastalo jen ve chvíli, kdy musel být závod na chvilku přerušen kvůli místním farmářům, kteří obraceli seno. Nakonec se ale vše podařilo stihnout bez potíží a závod byl kolem půl šesté zdárně ukončen. Vyhlášení bylo zahájeno brzo po ukončení závodu a před sedmou hodinou už mohli všichni účastníci odjet domů. Zde přichází další velký dík organizátorům za to, že byly schopni zajistit tak kvalitního sponzora, že rozdávané ceny v některých případech značně převýšily výši zaplaceného startovného. Vidím to velký příklad pro ostatní kluby! Prostě když je snaha, tak to jde a i tímto způsobem lze dotvářet atmosféru a spokojenost pro všechny účastníky závodu …

Teď ale tedy ke kategorii Barzojů … Do závodu bylo po mých dohláškách nakonec 5 holek a 4 kluci. Za náš tým sice zkušená, ale dlouho odpočívající a tudíž netrénovaná Kalinka a pak náš vlastní odchov, který má ještě teplou licenci Aglar. Dalšími účastníky byly holky – Legenda Russia z Bilmy, Daria, Engara a Borinka z Palatinu Moravia a potom kluci – Darshan a Brigard z Palatinu Moravia a Delfis z Murky. Závod se běžel jako mix i když vyhlášení proběhlo samostatně a uděleny byly dva CACT.

Tentokrát jsme měli zastoupení i v kategorii Italských chrtíků sprinterů, kde byli na stratu tři kluci. Po nějakém čase jsem vzal sebou i maskota Piškota. Dalšími byli - Lanuvio Bohemia Skara a Huewee z Kozího vršku.

V prvním kole byla naše Kalinka nasazena proti Darie a Aglar proti Brigardovi. Kalinka moc šancí proti své soupeřce neměla, takže bylo podstatné, aby se neztratila a dokončila, což se i stalo. Aglar naopak běžel se zkušeným matadorem a potvrdil, že jako má jako dravý mladík výhodu rychlosti. Brigard se bohužel na trati ztratil a tak pro něj závod skončil. První velká radost a i trochu překvapení přišlo, když jsem viděl průběžné výsledky po prvním kole a zjistil, že Aglar nejen vede kategorii barzojích kluků s relativně nadějným rozdílem šesti bodů, ale zároveň je jen o jeden bod druhý v hodnocení plemene jako celku za Legendou! 

Piškot běžel proti Lanuviovi a oba kluci předvedli velmi pohledný výkon a alespoň tam kde bylo vidět, tak i vysoké nasazení a spolupráci. Piškot byl průběžně ohodnocen jako druhý právě za svým partnerem.

Druhé kolo přineslo některé nečekané zvraty a zároveň už i výše zmíněnou velkou radost pro náš tým … Aglar byl nominován proti vedoucí fence Legendě a Kalinka, z průběžného čtvrtého místa, proti Borince. Běh Aglara a Legendy byl dle mého názoru, tím nejlepším co tento den Barzojové předvedli a na základě výsledků lze konstatovat, že rozhodčí to viděli stejně. Oba dva dokázali, že mají rychlost, předvedli skoro ukázkovou spolupráci, ani jeden ani chvilku nikde nezaváhali a krásně se střídali ve vedení i nadhánění, prostě radost pohledět! V dalším běhu byli nasazeny dvě feny jednoho majitele Daria a Engara od kterých jsem očekával hodně. Zde došlo k jednomu ze zvratů a to v tom smyslu, že se projevila náročnost trati. Engara situaci neustála a zhruba v polovině se ztratila, a i když se dostala do cíle, bylo to až na majitelovo přivolání a tudíž se jí tento běh nemohl počítat a skončila s nedoběhem. Pak běželi spolu kluci Delfis a Darshan. Oba potvdili, že prostě vědí, co se od nich očekává. Oba kluci jsou vyrovnaní a předvedli pohledný běh, avšak bylo znát, že rychlostně trošku zaostávají za předchozími závodníky. Na konec přišla na řadu naše Kalinka a Borinka. Borinka se hned po startu rozhodla, že jí to nebaví a odskotačila do trávy a tak naše Kalinka musela odběhnout celou trať sama. Což i spolehlivě udělala, nikde nezaváhala, ale výkon to moc pohledný nebyl a ani rychlostně to nebylo dobré. Nicméně vzhledem k tomu, že dokončila spolehlivě oba běhy, stačilo to na konečné třetí místo! Což byl zvrat, ve který jsem ani nedoufal … Omlouvám se ostatním.

Piškot, vzhledem k výsledkům prvního kola, běžel se stejným partnerem. Opět to byl perfektní běh! Oba kluci předvedli vše, co se od závodníků v tomto sportu očekává, dravost, fixaci, rychlost, nadšení … spolupráci. Neskromně musím přiznat, že se mi zdálo, že byl v tomto běhu Piškot o něco lepší než Lanuvio. Zvrat třetí … nakonec se ukázalo, že rozhodčí měli stejný názor jako já a díky tomuto běhu se Piškot bodově dotáhl na Lanuvia, ale protože při shodě bodů rozhoduje výsledek druhého kola, stal se Piškot i vítězem celkovým!

Celkově tedy Aglar vyhrál svou kategorii barzojích kluků, ale … zvrat čtyři … zároveň se stal nejlepším Barzojem! A hned zvrat pět … také byl oficiálně vyhlášen třetím nejlepším klukem dne! Kalinka skončila oficiálně třetí a Piškot uzavřel dnešní týmový úspěch výhrou ve své kategorii. Myslím, že mohu říci, že jsem právem hrdý na naše závodníky :)

Báječný pocit z celé akce není způsoben jen úspěchem, ale samozřejmě také výbornou organizací akce, nádherným prostředím, ve které se konala, perfektním počasím a v neposlední řadě i pozitivní atmosférou, kterou vytvořili všichni účastníci.

Závěrem tedy zbývá už jen poděkovat za organizaci klubu NorthWind a doufám, že zmiňovaná neoficiální informace od Vaška se stane skutečností :) Díky!

(EN) I have wondered long how to start this time, but I must after all ... :)

Absolutely successful weekend for our von Dretowitz team! Our litter "B" enjoyed success at shows and I went to a very successful coursing with "B" team. "A" team is resting before the European Championship ...

Coursing in Kolesa was held under the auspices of Pharaon hound club but entirely organized by NorthWind club. I went there really unexpectedly. Originally, I had to go to another event, but it was canceled. So, I decided at the last minute that I spend my free time on this race. And here comes the first thanks to the organizers for being so kind to accept the application for my dogs after the deadline!

I hope that the races will be held here next year again because the location is attractive. The event was held in an environment of racing and cross racecourse for horses. The background and facilities were definitely the advantage and offered commonly exceptional comfort to all participants.

I feared that due to the race area it will not be attractive for spectators and unfortunately I was right. On the other hand it gave the opportunity to organizers to use already prepared natural barriers and prepare challenging track. So, spectators were able to see only start and finish in the first round. The track for second round was slightly different and though the first half and finish were visible for all. The second round was therefore more attractive. Both tracks were demanding mainly on the orientation, fixation to the bait and required a certain amount of intelligence, but there was of course part focused on speed also. I also have unofficial information that the next year the track could be designed completely differently and thus much more attractive for spectators. But it also depends on cooperation with the area owners. I want to be taken by surprise ;)

The race was handled at a high level of organizational competence, although even there minor administrative mistakes occurred, but it didn’t affect the smooth progress of the event. For me the lesson learned is the need for early and calm communication when there is any ambiguity. Minor delays occurred only when the race had to be momentarily interrupted due to local farmers who had to turn the hay. Anyway, the organizers managed to finish the race without any issues at around five-thirty. The final ceremony was initiated soon after the race and all the participants could go home before seven o'clock. Here comes another big thanks to the organizers for the fact that they were able to ensure good sponsor which handouts prices in some cases substantially exceeded the amount of entry fee paid. I see a great example for other clubs in it! Just when there is effort, so it is even this what can improve the atmosphere and satisfaction for all competitors ...

But now to the Borzoi category ... 5 girls and 4 boys entered the race after my own late application. From our team it was Kalinka, while experienced, but long dormant and therefore untrained and then Aglar our own breeding, which owns new and “still warm” license. Other participants were girls – Legenda Russia z Bilmy, Daria, Engara and Borinka z Palatinu Moravia and boys - Darshan and Brigard z Palatinu Moravia and Delfis z Murky. The nomination was done as mix but evaluation was done separately to boys and girls and though two CACT were awarded.

We had one team member in category of Italian Greyhound – sprinter also this time. There were three boys together in this category. I took my mascot Piškot after some time again. Others were - Lanuvio Bohemia Skara and Huewee z Kozího vršku.

Our Kalinka was nominated against Daria and Aglar against Brigardovi in the first round. Kalinka had not much chance against her opponent, so, it was essential that she finishes and not got lost, as it happened. Aglar, contrary, ran with an experienced matador and confirmed that as a young boy has advantage in his speed. Brigard unfortunately got lost on the track so the race was over for him. The first great joy and a bit of surprise came when I saw the interim results of the first round and found out that Aglar is not only leader in category of Borzoi boys with relatively hopeful difference of six points, but is only one point behind the Russia as leader in whole breed!

Piškot ran against Lanuvio and both boys showed very handsome performance and at least where I could see, high level of commitment and cooperation also. Piškot was rated as the second just after his partner in the first round.

The second round brought some unexpected twists and as I have mentioned above happiness to our team also ... Aglar was nominated against ongoing leader Legenda and our Kalinka from ongoing fourth place against Borinka. The run of Aglar and Legenda was in my opinion the best what borzoi showed that day. It can be stated that the judges saw it the same way based on the results. Both have proven that they have the speed, showed the sample cooperation, no hesitation and beautifully changes the lead and the beat, simply joy to behold! Two females of the same owner were nominated to the next run – Daria and Engara from which I expected a lot. And here came one of the twists in the sense that the track has shown its demanding nature. Engara wasn’t able to hold the situation and got lost roughly in the middle of the track. And even she got to the finish, it was after the owner's call and thus she could not be evaluated and received “not finished” mark. Then came the boys run for Delfis and Darshan. Both confirmed that they know what is expected from them. Both boys are approximately on the same level and showed a handsome run, but it was clear that the velocity lag a bit in comparison to previous runs and racers. And finally came turn for our Kalinka and Borinka. Borinka decided immediately after the start that it is not funny anymore and left the track to the higher grass. So, Kalinka had to run alone whole the track what she reliably did. She didn’t hesitated a second but neither the performance was handsome nor the velocity was high. However, given the fact that she completed both runs reliably, it was enough for her to finish on third place in the final! That was another twist, I couldn’t hope for ... Apology to others.

Based on the result of the first round was Piškot nominated to run with the same partner. Again, it was a perfect run! Both boys showed everything what is expected from competitors in this sport ferocity, lure fixation, speed, enthusiasm ... cooperation. 

I must admit immodestly that it seemed to me that Piškot was slightly better than Lanuvio. Third twist ... it turned out that the judges had the same opinion as me and though Piškot went to the same point count as Lanuvio. And because in tie decides the outcome of the second run, Piškot became the overall winner!

Overall result says, Aglar won his category Borzoi boys but twist ... four ... at the same time become the best Borzoi! And twist five ... also was officially declared as the third best boy of the day! Kalinka officially ended on the third and Piškot closed the team success by winning in his category. I think I can say that I am honored and proud of our competitors :)

Wonderful feeling which stays comes not only from the success, but of course also from excellent organization of the event, wonderful environment in which it took place, perfect weather, and last but not least from the positive atmosphere created by all the participants .

Now remains only to send big thank for organizing of the even to the club NorthWind club and I hope that mentioned unofficial information from Vasek becomes a reality :) Thanks!
